Last week, the UVU community celebrated its first homecoming as a university. Some of the festivities included a T-shirt swap, a dodge ball tournament, a polar bear swim, the True Wolverine Bonfire and the main event: the UVU men's basketball team playing the University of California, Santa Barbara.
The Wolverines hosted the University of California-Santa Barbara Gauchos in their first homecoming game as a university. However it was not a great start, as the Gauchos would hand the Wolverines their second loss of the season, 62-57. "Santa Barbara came out very aggressive," UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker said.
Most students wait until after graduating to put mass amounts of time, effort and work into huge career building projects. For UVU senior Jonathan Martin, this is not the mold he's going to follow. Last summer, Martin took a small crew to Europe, Canada and across the U.
We live in a society people. And lately, contrary to popular consent, we have been doing just that, very well. However, only the true mavericks of society possess the clarity of vision to see in such a way. Take the overall mood of the general public for example.
